Mohandas Karam Chand Gandhi popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi born in 1869 in Porbandhar was transformed when he witnessed the practice of Apartheid in South Africa where he had gone to study law. Not only did he rally against the practice there, he came back to India and started the freedom movement through civil dissilience and non-violence.
